The Plaintiff and Defendant are the key parties named and involved in a Divorce in Singapore.
A Divorce petition generally comprises 2 Parties i.e. you and your spouse. The Plaintiff is the spouse filing the Petition. The Defendant is the other spouse responding to the Petition. If the Divorce is based on the grounds of Adultery, the 3rd party may be named in the Petition referred to as the “Co-Defendant”.
